Tommy Dreamer talks in-depth about House of Hardcore teaming up with Chinlock Wrestling for a great cause. On June 15th at The Leon’s Centre, a legends convention and charity wrestling show will be taking place and I spoke with HOH promoter Tommy Dreamer ahead of all the fun.

Tommy has recovered from Orange Cassidy’s brutal leg kicks at AEW Double or Nothing and is back at it with another House of Hardcore show. Canada has been kind to HOH in the past and the promotion will travel through Kingston, Ontario on Saturday, June 15th. The roster for House of Hardcore includes familiar faces like Billy Gunn and “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer. The promotion also features holy discussed international talent like Willie Mack and Sami Callihan. It’s a great show and funds are going towards an even better cause.
“All proceeds…not one penny goes to anybody but the charities we have. Youth Diversion here in Kingston, Ontario, Canada…..and Community Living which is near and dear to my good friend Jan Murphy’s heart…..We’re actually outdrawing WWE when they ran in this market…..when they were here two years ago”
Names like Bret Hart and Mark Henry are but a couple examples of the legends who are appearing at the convention during the day. The HOH show goes after the Legends Convention wraps up.The House of Hardcore moniker also holds significance because that was the name of the old ECW training school. Tommy Dreamer sees the value in honoring his extreme lineage.
“Wherever I wrestle for my own shows, they always chant ECW. It’s my heritage. It’s what I’m most proud of. When I originally came up with the concept House of Hardcore, it just kind of fit naturally and it’s been working”
Tommy’s enthusiasm for the business comes across in his in-ring performances but also his recent analyst work. Tommy has been podcasting and getting involved in satellite radio as of late. Tommy Dreamer has also gotten opportunities from his wrestling work to get broadcast gigs covering baseball which is another love of Dreamer’s.
Tommy is a lifelong wrestling fan who has maintained his enthusiasm for the medium through several permutations over the years. Tommy Dreamer has been involved in iconic shows like ECW One Night Stand, Wrestlemania, and Barely Legal. Tommy knows a great wrestling show when he sees one and the recent AEW Double or Nothing show had a tangible electricity in the air.

“Chinlock for Charity” is having it’s fifth annual charity show in support of Youth Diversion and other local charities. A day-long “Legends of Wrestling” convention from 10am-4pm, followed by live House of Hardcore wrestling action at 6pm!
Already confirmed for the event are Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Tugboat, Jimmy Hart, Swoggle, and so many more!
