United Boxing Promotions once again took over the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario. Their latest show went down on Saturday, November 16th, 2019. United Boxing Promotions always puts on a quality show and this time was no exception. The event showcased some of the best pugilists in Ontario and some of the best Boxers in Canada overall. The card showcased an IBA Intercontinental title fight, the redemptive return of Brandon Cook after getting TKO-ed in his bid for a world title, plus so much more. I have a post-fight interview with the now 3-0 Brock Stumpf and the full event results listed below. This is your LM2 United Boxing November 2019 Recap.
Brock Stumpf quotes
“Great start. Everything’s kind of coming together. I’m happy that I’m not getting too reckless. Defense is good. No getting touched up really at all.”
“Last fight went really good. I was just touching jabs. The first overhand right I threw kind of dropped him to one knee. So then I think I got a little greedy. Got a little greedy, wild, and excited. I could have put a meaner finish on. But he was tough. He was coming forward. It’s kind of like a wounded animal, some will cower and some will go on the attack. hat’s what he did. To be honest, I’m happy because it made a better fight.”
“I”m definitely going to learn from that. Just try to be a little more clever and set more traps.”
“It was pretty much the same turnout. Same with sales. It was amazing. Everyone’s cheering, everyone was happy, they’re all joking around with me. Instead of fifty bucks for a round they got twenty-five bucks a round. So they were a little happier. More bang for their buck. Nobody was complaining. Heard a couple people talking about a third-round but let’s not go there yet.”
Brock Stumpf quotes cont.
“It makes a big difference. It makes it so much more fun to be honest. It’s definitely a lot better when everyone shows up and we make a night of it.”
“My next fight will be in February. I’ll just keep going from there. I want the knockouts and I want all the stoppages. But I’ve got no problem Boxing everybody. I meet the right guy, tough guy, it’s just smarter to do it that way. I don’t want to jeopardize anything just because my ego says I want to knock everyone out. Which to be honest it kind of does. I think it’s going to take someone really tough to go the rounds with me.”
“In my head, it’s like I’ve got this little checklist of what I want to do. I can move, I can angle, I can roll. I kind of like showing that. In amateur I kind of had a reputation, I deserved the reputation as just a brawler. I kind of enjoy showing people that I can Box, I can move, and I can still bang.”
“Looking forward to the future and it’s looking good for me.”
