Battle rap anomaly Ncredable and LMM’s Dylan Bowker had an extensive conversation recently. Interview Audio HERE
Bowks Talking Bouts
Ncredable talked about being the OG of antics and his tumultuous history with Daylyt.
“You wasn’t nobody before you took my antics…..You’re using Ncredable’s style”
Ncredable is of the notion that battle rap should be the most authentic projection of who you are as a person (12:48). He gets tremendous insights on life from his work as a drug counselor. The abrasive Stockton lifestyle is also something that has shaped who Ncredable is as a person.
“I hit these addicts with the Stockton slap……..I only talk real life and I live a real life”
Ncredable has a strong friendship with his Stockton compatriots, Nick and Nate Diaz (19:17). There’s a certain rugged kinship that underpins the interactions between those who have the “Stockton mentality”. Still, he would still like to see people in the community come together and have there be even more Stockton solidarity.
Ncredable also has certain legal qualms with Wild ‘N Out personality Nick Cannon. This has created a bit of a quandary with battle rap peer/ Wild ‘N Out performer Conceited. Also during the talk, Ncredable wanted to make a point to shout out his mentor, the late Brandon D.
“The ones that (are) still here must tell the story for the ones that didn’t make it….and that’s homage”
Ncredable discussing the volatility of Stockton life
Ncredable also has some bold new music plans for 2019 that are designed to shake the world up (28:08). He also went into detail about his writing process through the lens of keeping an even confluence between comedic elements and talking that real shit (34:27).
The Stockton native discussed the Cadalack Ron battle at length and how it was destiny that these two would invariably battle.
We also got into detail about the profound influence of Tall T. Ncredable apologized for what he perceived as rambling but then he proceeded to drop several additional gems on me.
Ncredable went into vivid detail telling the story of how he “almost fucked with Rihanna” (51:02). It was whirlwind saga that includes conflict, friendship, and top floor hotel rooms.
“If I eat a burrito from the burrito truck, I’m going to have the shits and so is she”
Rihanna being a human being just like Ncredable is
Madflex is somebody that Ncredable has respect for but he aims to take Flex’s BOTZ Championship before the year ends (1:23:19).
“Maybe my hot 16 is a cure for cancer…….Nick and Nate Diaz reach out to your boy……Daylyt you owe me a battle. Rihanna you owe me a baby”
Ncredable’s closing comments
