This is just simply five tracks that got a coward’s (Dylan Bowker’s) seal of approval. There’s no hierarchy here; it’s just a few songs that dropped in the last few days that I liked and posted in no particular order. Check out the cuts and tell me how you feel about them in the comments. Don’t forget to like and subscribe to Liberty Multimedia on facebook, twitter, etc!
1) Ty Segall “Break A Guitar”
The creative output of Ty Segall is huge but he never forsakes quality. This track comes out a few days ahead of Ty dropping a self titled record. If you love fuzzy, psychedelic garage rock then this is for you. The link is embedded at the top of the article!
2) Thy Art is Murder “No Absolution”
With former vocalist CJ McMahon back in the fold, Thy Art is Murder fire on all cylinders with this latest track. A well written song with ferocity permeating from the rhythm section, ignorant gutturals, and knuckle dusting breakdowns. This track will likely cause you to raise invisible oranges and you may engage in the deathcore scarecrow dance. You have been warned.
3) Arcade Fire “I Give You Power”
Mavis Staples hops onto this track that represents the band’s first new offering since 2014’s Reflektor. The new cut bares stylistic similarities to the dance focused sound on that record. Arcade Fire do add touches of industrial, indie, and pop to the arrangement. A track for liberal arts kids to get turnt to on the weekends. Check it out!
4) Warbringer “Silhouettes”
The thrash metal revival is still alive and well in 2017. Galloping riffs, Kreator-style vocals, and punishing percussion send you on an audio time machine trip to the mid to late 80’s thrash scene. This is a track to jam as you proudly wear your denim jacket covered in band patches. Raise the horns, brother!
5) Future and Migos mashup “Bad Commas”
This mash up goes together pretty much flawlessly. Heavy ATL sounds all throughout and this will go over well with those who love mumble trap. Dead ass fam, you can get the next pre-drink too fired up with this one. Get at it in the link below.
